As always, attendees look forward to connecting with colleagues and friends during the ASSH Annual Meeting. 

Hand Clubs/Alumni Meetings

Hand Club meetings are officially designated to take place on Friday, September 19th. There is no formal programming scheduled after 6:30 PM on Friday to allow Hand Club organizers a free evening to hold meetings, receptions or dinners.

Spouse/Guest Program

The spouse/guest registration is available for spouses and guests. An additional registration fee is required. The program includes:

  • Guest Welcome Breakfast on September 18th
  • Continental breakfasts from Thursday through Saturday in the Spouse/Guest Lounge
  • Admission to the exhibit hall
  • Admittance to the President’s Guest Lecture

8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
This yoga class will include instruction on breathing, call and response chanting, meditation. The variety and amount of this will depend on the individual teacher and the yoga level of this group. This class will be more focused on the purely physical and spiritual benefits of yoga.
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
You will enjoy dinner and tasting called a Night in Italy. Start out with one of our interactive tasting classes, and then follow up with a buffet dinner paired with the perfect wine. 
5:30 PM to 9:30 PM
This spirited tour will give you a light hearted look at the city of Boston's darker side as we share local tales and legends. The two hour journey will take you on a spine tingling trip through Boston's historic burial grounds and the streets once stalked by the Boston Strangler. Step aboard the trolley of the doomed...and join your host, a 17th Century grave digger, cursed with a sentence of eternal damnation.

Gloucester balances it’s intertwined past and future with assurance and skill.  The city, long renowned among artists for the purity of its light, has traditionally been the home of internationally known painters like Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper and Fitzhugh Lane and sculptors like Walker Hancock.
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Why see the city through the windows of a bus, when your guests can see the city in a much more intimate way… on bike!  Without question this biking experience provides the best way to see all that Boston has to offer in a fun and exciting setting.  Boston is notorious for its vast history, its quaint community districts and its traffic.  Why put yourself through that?  On bike you will have better access to all of the sites of the city.
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Ship ahoy!  Guests board the tall ship, Liberty Clipper, for a three-hour evening sail around Boston Harbor.  Cruise by such historic sites as Castle Island and the USS Constitution, berthed in neighboring Charlestown, while enjoying the natural beauty of the harbor islands. This historic ship and experienced crew provide your guests with a memorable evening at sea!  Beautiful sunsets, gentle winds and customized catering combine to enhance your sailing excursion.
