The goal of the Basic Science Investigators Workshop is to bring together clinicians and scientists actively involved in basic or translational research relevant to surgery of the hand for the purpose of exchanging ideas and addressing challenges, including (but not limited to): grant writing, funding, resources, finding time for research, engaging clinician – scientist collaborations, mentorship and development of clinician scientists. The input of experienced investigators is intended to help solve problems of work in progress, lead to the development of new and interesting research questions and foster collaboration among the attendees for future research endeavors.
The format will consist of a series of 5-10 minute presentations on current research, made by the attendees. This meeting is open to anyone with an interest in discussing current research or challenges in performing basic or translational research in hand surgery.
Fee: $25; waived for presenters
